WHEREAS the Republican Party was founded on the principle that no human being should be considered the property of another, and WHEREAS the vast majority of Republicans continue to believe in that principle and its corollary, that every human being – born and unborn, young and old, healthy and disabled – has a fundamental, individual right to life, WHEREAS the Republican Party gains nothing, and loses everything, if it turns its back on its pro-life position, THEREFORE, we the undersigned call upon John McCain to direct the platform committee of the Republican National Convention to retain the party’s strong platform plank in favor of the Right to Life. |
